Ken Taymor is the executive director of the Berkeley Center for Law, Business and the Economy. Prior to joining Boalt, Taymor practiced law for over 20 years in San Francisco. His professional experience included organizing, structuring and financing private companies, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, intellectual property licensing and telecommunications. He has also represented non-profit and for-profit developers of mixed use community redevelopment projects. From 1988 - 1993, Taymor was Special Assistant for Business, Finance and Real Estate to the San Francisco City Attorney.
Taymor has been a Lecturer at the Stanford Law School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Visiting Professor of Law at UCLA Law School. He is currently Chair of the Dean's Policy Advisory Council at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health.
