Roy Eisenhardt graduated from Berkeley Law in 1965, where he was Managing Editor of the California Law Review and Order of the Coif. He had previously attended Dartmouth College and served in the United States Marine Corps before law school.
After practicing business law for 12 years with Farella Braun + Martel in San Francisco, he returned to Berkeley Law in 1978 as a Visiting Professor, teaching Real Property, Commercial Transactions, and Corporations. He left this position in 1982 to become the President of the Oakland Athletics. During that period, he was also a director of the Women’s Tennis Association. In 1989, he changed careers to become the Executive Director of the California Academy of Sciences. In 1995 he left that position to serve as a consultant, and member of several non-profit and corporate Boards. He is currently the Interim President at the San Francisco Art Institute. Mr. Eisenhardt is a frequent interviewer for City Arts and Lectures and is an avid woodworker.
