Call for Necessary Engagement in Community & Timely Response (CNECT)  is one way students at Berkeley Law can engage in pro bono legal services.  CNECT projects are initiated by our community partner legal services organizations.  CNECT partners identify current legal needs that Berkeley Law students can respond to with pro bono support and the Berkeley Law Pro Bono Program facilitates this engagement.

Berkeley Law students, staff, and faculty interested in learning about CNECT pro bono opportunities at this time and in the future should sign up with their berkeley.edu email to join the Public Interest/Pro Bono (PIPB) Opportunities List below.  CNECT is a dynamic program and projects will be announced through the PIPB List as the need arises throughout the school year.

NoticeBerkeley Law’s Pro Bono Program wishes to support vulnerable communities most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Berkeley Law students, staff, and faculty interested in learning about current remote pro bono opportunities at this time and in the future should sign up with their berkeley.edu email to join the Public Interest/Pro Bono Opportunities List

We also urge all interested students to join a national pro bono effort organized by the ABA to engage in remote pro bono support for COVID-related matters, including research regarding paid leave policies, drafting for bail motions, and supporting efforts to seek release from immigration custody.  To get engaged in these national efforts, students should sign up by clicking this link.
