  • Government agencies
  • Plaintiff’s firms 
  • Employers will select candidates to interview from applications.
  • Students apply to as many employers that fit your interests.
  • Interviews will happen virtually on FloRecruit: Sept. 2-19, 2025.

Winter OCI (WOCI)

For 1Ls, 2Ls

Application period: Dec. 20 – Jan. 9 at 12pm

  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Government agencies
  • Employers will select candidates to interview from applications
  • Students apply to as many employers that fit your interests.
  • Interviews will happen virtually on FloRecruit:  Jan. 26-28, 2026.

Non-Berkeley Law Career Fairs 

For 1Ls, 2Ls, 3Ls

August – January

  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Government agencies
  • Plaintiff’s firms (limited)
  • CDO will send emails with instructions for:
    • Equal Justice Works Career Fair (applications due September, interviews will take place online Oct. 16-18, 2025).
    • PI/PS Day (table talk and interviews take place January 30-31, 2026).
  • Employers will select candidates to interview from applications.
  • Employers will schedule interviews on specified dates. Interviews will likely be virtual.

Direct Applications

For 1Ls, 2Ls, 3Ls

Year Round

  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Government agencies
  • Plaintiff’s firms
  • Students follow instructions on how to apply and submit materials through job postings found through 12Twenty, psjd.org, Idealist.org, employer websites, etc. You can also find paid opportunities on the CDO’s PIPS Airtables.
  • For 3Ls, opportunities include organization-based fellowships as well as staff attorney positions!
  • Employers will select candidates to interview from applications.
  • Employers will interview on their organization’s timeline.
