The Tech & IP Team offers unique advocacy competition opportunities for students interested in legal questions related to technology and intellectual property.
This BOA branch was formed as a collaborative effort between Berkeley Law’s Advocacy Competitions Program and the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology.
Opportunities include:
- Skill Building: This is a great way to develop written and oral advocacy skills, especially for any students with an interest in society’s protection of the arts and innovation as well as the law’s relationship with evolving technology.
- Competitions: In its inaugural year, the Tech & IP Team attended the USPTO Patent Application Drafting Competition. The Nationals Final Round was hosted at USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, VA before a panel of senior USPTO officials and other esteemed judges.
Head Coach: Lee Van Pelt
