The Berkeley Law Financial Aid Office works collaboratively with the Berkeley Law Admissions office, campus Financial Aid Office and Graduate Division to provide student loans, grants and scholarships to J.D students. Some of the financial aid available through the School of Law is based on demonstrated financial need and accordingly requires the completion of financial aid forms as part of the application process. Please read the instructions carefully to ensure that you submit the applications that pertain to your status.
Our Office partners with the Berkeley Law Admissions office to administer the majority of scholarships and grants for J.D. students. As an entering J.D. student, you may receive grant and scholarship offers separately from federal student loans and other university financial aid. If a grant or scholarship is awarded after the offer of federal student loans and institutional aid, we will ensure that you are provided with the most beneficial revised financial aid package.
