Todd Smithline is the Managing Principal of Smithline PC, a San Francisco law firm representing software/SaaS, Internet and digital entertainment companies in their strategic licensing and technology transactions matters. The firm has been widely recognized for its innovative fixed-fee subscription model. Prior to founding the firm, Todd was General Counsel of Marimba, a publicly-traded enterprise software company, and Vice President of Business Affairs & Legal for Shockwave.com, one of the first causal gaming sites. Todd began his career an associate with Latham & Watkins and Gunderson Dettmer. Todd received his BA, cum laude, from Tufts University and his JD from UCLA School of Law. Todd has been teaching Video Game Law at Berkeley Law since 2010.
