Jesse Finfrock is an attorney, teacher and advisor with deep experience—and belief—in social entrepreneurship and impact investing. In his private practice, he advises impact investors (including permanent capital vehicles, blended funds, high net-worth families, and charitable entities) and social enterprises (including founders, entities, and boards/committees). He serves on the board of directors and as outside general counsel for several Public Benefit Corporations (PBCs).
Jesse’s areas of expertise include PBC / PBLLC governance, for-profit / non-profit structures and partnerships, stakeholder management, ESG metrics / measurement and disclosures, and financing strategies for both deploying and receiving capital. He lectures at law, business and management schools across the country, among other institutions. Jesse also contributes to the development and democratization of “impact law” via ABA publications, Bloomberg Law, UC’s Continuing Education of the Bar, TrustLaw, LexMundi, and numerous legal/impact conference presentations.
Previously, Jesse was invited to be the first Impact Counsel at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he helped launch the firm’s Social Enterprise & Impact Investment practice group in 2015 and served as Co-Chair of the Sustainability Committee until 2021.
