Kristin Martin is a partner in the law firm of McCracken, Stemerman & Holsberry where she has worked for more than 20 years. Since 2020, she had been General Counsel of UNITE HERE International Union, which represents workers in the hotel, casino and institutional food service industries, and is also counsel to many UNITE HERE locals around the United States. Kristin has litigated cases involving employers’ attempts to restrict organizing activity, secondary boycotts directed at casino customers, and the organizing and collective-bargaining rights of employees at Native American casinos. Her practice also includes helping unions to employ economic weapons that conform to and make use of the law but do not involve litigation, negotiating and enforcing card-check organizing agreements, and training union staff to enforce collective-bargaining agreements, including through arbitration. Kristin served as a law clerk to the late Honorable Harry Pregerson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
