Jai is a cofounder and Chief Legal Officer of Lightspark and a Fellow at the Berkeley Center for Law and Business. Before Lightspark, she spent 11 years at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, the last five as a partner in the firm’s Financial Institutions Group and a leader of its fintech and cryptocurrency practice. She has experience in a wide range of financial regulatory matters, including digital assets and cryptocurrencies, markets regulation, banking regulation, derivatives regulation, and payments. She holds a JD from Duke University School of Law and a BA in Chemistry from Cornell University.
