Courtney McCausland is a Co-Director and Clinical Supervisor in the Immigration Clinic of the East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC); she also lectures in the LLM Legal Research & Writing Department. At EBCLC, Courtney works with the Immigration Unit to provide legal services to marginalized communities and to help train the next generation of advocates. Prior to joining EBCLC, Courtney was the Managing Attorney of the Immigration Litigation Division at Catholic Charities East Bay, where she represented individuals and families in removal proceedings before the immigration courts.
Courtney also volunteers as a panel attorney with the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, and has a particular passion for serving women. She is a member of the California State Bar; her professional interests include advocacy, research, and policy making in the social justice areas of immigration, gender and racial equity, reproductive justice, human rights, sustainable development, poverty reduction, and armed conflict prevention and resolution.
