Courtney McCausland is a practicing immigration attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area. Leading the Removal Defense team at Catholic Charities East Bay, she represents families and individuals placed in removal proceedings before the San Francisco Immigration Court and maintains a regular appellate practice. She has a particular passion for serving women. Ms. McCausland is a member of the California State Bar; she received her J.D. from Michigan State University and her LL.M. from the University of Edinburgh. Her professional interests include advocacy, research, and policy making in the social justice areas of immigration, gender and racial equity, reproductive justice, human rights, sustainable development, poverty reduction, and armed conflict prevention and resolution.
