Andrew Dilworth is a partner with O’Rielly & Roche LLLP. Mr. Dilworth counsels lawyers and law firms in California and nationwide on issues of professional responsibility. His practice focuses on the law governing lawyers, including the defense of legal malpractice actions and other litigation brought by or against lawyers. His experience in professional responsibility matters includes handling California State Bar investigations and disciplinary proceedings, law firm break-ups and attorney departures, fee disputes, conflicts of interests and disqualification motions, sanctions motions, disputes regarding claims of attorney-client privilege or work product, and other proceedings that relate to the conduct of lawyers and law firms. Mr. Dilworth also counsels lawyers and law firms on risk management issues and compliance with the rules of professional conduct, and serves as an expert witness.
Mr. Dilworth writes frequently on issues of lawyer conduct. His articles have appeared in publications such as the Daily Journal, California Bar Journal, Los Angeles Lawyer, San Francisco Attorney Magazine, and other publications by State and local bar associations. Mr. Dilworth also lectures frequently on issues of legal ethics, professional responsibility and law firm risk management for a variety of organizations and California bar associations.
Mr. Dilworth is a past Advisor and Chair of the California State Bar’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct (COPRAC), and a past Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Legal Ethics Committee.
