William Frentzen is a trial attorney and partner at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco where he focuses on civil and criminal trial work and white-collar investigations. He has successfully tried more than 40 jury trials during his career. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, he was a federal prosecutor for over 20 years, serving in New Orleans, Georgia, Washington DC, and then San Francisco. As a prosecutor he most recently served as Chief of the Corporate and Securities Fraud Section for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California (“USAO NDCA”). Prior to that he held a unique position as Senior Trial Counsel for the USAO NDCA, assigned to the most complex and difficult trials the Office handled. He also served as Chief of the Organized Crime Strike Force for USAO NDCA. His trials include some of the longest and most complex criminal cases in the NDCA and the largest fraud case in the history of the District in terms of dollar value.
