Karla Cruz joined EBCLC’s Immigration Practice in 2021. Prior to EBCLC, she was a staff attorney at La Raza Centro Legal where she provided direct legal services to Spanish-speaking immigrants.
During law school, she interned with EBCLC’s Immigration Unit. Her caseload was primarily unaccompanied minor cases from Central America. Karla also interned with the Immigrant Legal Resource Center and McGeorge School of Law’s Immigration Clinic.
Karla has a longstanding commitment of advocating for immigrants in the Bay Area. She has worked in immigration and advocacy since 2012. She is a proud daughter of Salvadoran immigrants and was raised in the East Bay. Karla is fluent in Spanish.
