Mai Linh Spencer teaches Evidence at BLS. Professor Spencer spent five years as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, prosecuting federal criminal civil rights violations. After moving to the Bay Area, she represented capital and non-capital defendants on direct appeal as a Deputy State Public Defender. At UC Hastings College of the Law, she is the Academic Director of the Lawyers for America program and also teaches Evidence, the Individual Representation Clinic, and the Legal Externship seminar.
