After graduating from Berkeley Law in 2002, Ms. Sagafi joined the San Francisco office of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, where she represented plaintiffs in consumer fraud and defective products cases for more than a decade. During her tenure at Lieff Cabraser, Ms. Sagafi served as the hiring partner and gained local and national recognition for her results on behalf of her consumer clients. In 2015, Ms. Sagafi launched the California office of Tycko & Zavareei LLP, a boutique firm representing whistleblowers, employees, and consumers. She served as the managing partner of TZ’s California outpost until her retirement from litigation in 2019.
Ms. Sagafi has particular expertise in matters involving false advertising and unfair competition. In 2014, Ms. Sagafi drafted and advanced a bill to strengthen the protections afforded to consumers under California’s Consumers Legal Remedies Act, an effort that included presenting testimony to the California State Senate Judiciary Committee.
Ms. Sagafi was recognized as a “Rising Star for Northern California” by Super Lawyers every year between 2009 and 2014, and was named as a “Super Lawyer” every year from 2015-2019. When she is not pursuing her legal interests, Ms. Sagafi enjoys writing and exploring Northern California with her husband and young son.
