A life-long San Franciscan, Candy has worked as a tenants rights attorney and has advocated for public housing residents in San Francisco. She has volunteered with the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Justice and Diversity Center and as a panelist on the AIDS Legal Referral Panel. Candy coaches, tutors, and mentors law students in preparation for their bar exam, having coached successful students who are now themselves practicing law. A poet and a musician, Candy is a member of the Brass Liberation Orchestra and has played at rallies and actions around the Bay Area.
