Ross D. Mazer is an Assistant United States Attorney in San Francisco and a former Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan. Specializing in criminal appellate law, Mazer has represented the government in state and federal appellate courts, including the New York Court of Appeals, Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Cardozo Law School, where he taught legal writing to first-year law students. Mazer clerked for Judge Marina Marmolejo of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and Chief Justice Stuart Rabner of the New Jersey Supreme Court. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Rutgers Law School, and his LL.M. from New York University Law School.
