As part of CLEE’s evaluations of ICARP’s Adaptation Planning Grant Program and Regional Resilience Planning and Implementation Grant Program (RRGP), the research team developed four case studies from APGP and two from RRGP. These case studies were selected to showcase the diversity of project types, lead organizations, regions, and climate risks addressed through APGP and RRGP funding. Building on interviews with Round 1 awardees for both programs, the case studies highlight the challenges faced by applicant communities and the innovative solutions developed to tackle these issues. Additionally, the case studies emphasize the critical role that APGP and RRGP play in providing financial support, fostering multi-sector collaboration, and building capacity across regions, advancing California’s resilience goals.
