LODGING

Guests who have requested a room via the online form, should have received a confirmation email with their reservation information.  Most guests will be staying at the Women’s Faculty Club, which is on the UC Berkeley campus and very close to the School of Law. If you are expecting accommodation arrangements and have not received a confirmation, please contact Luke Sherman as soon as possible. 

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

If you are arriving via SFO, the distance to the Women’s Faculty Club is 26 miles/42 km. We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft which are very commonly used in the area and will cost approximately $40 each way.

Alternatively, you may take Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) from the SFO to the Downtown Berkeley station. You will then need to walk through the UC Berkeley campus up to the Women’s Faculty Club, which is about a 20 minute walk (1 mile / 1.6km).

The same transportation options are available for travelers arriving at OAK.

 

PARKING

The best places to park near UC Berkeley are are at the Underhill Parking Lot or the Maxwell Parking Garage. Both of these parking garages will require you to pay by the hour.  PDF directions from these parking lots to the Warren Room can be downloaded here.

 

MEALS

Sunday, 1 Oct 
For international travelers and those who will be arriving early, we will host a 6pm dinner on Sunday, 1 October at Gather Restaurant. From the Women’s Faculty Club the restaurant is a pleasant 15 minute walk through campus. Alternatively, you may consider taking an Uber/Lyft to the restaurant from Piedmont Avenue. Please RSVP with an email to Luke Sherman if you are planning to attend

Monday, 2 Oct
A continental breakfast will be served at the workshop venue beginning at 7:45am and we will break at 12:30pm for a hot lunch.  

Immediately following the workshop, we will hold a reception with beer and wine at Freehouse restaurant,  which is just across the street from the law school.  All participants are then invited to stay for dinner at the restaurant starting at 6:30pm.
