Maia is the Program Administrator at the Center for Law, Energy, & the Environment (CLEE), supporting the day-to-day logistical needs of its projects. She primarily facilitates communications, expenses, and events, with a passion for sharing the center’s work in new, wider ways, and equipping her team to navigate and reenvision the systems we move through. Beyond CLEE, she is an editor for a forthcoming literary project on multispecies kinship, Animated Wor(l)ds.
Prior to joining CLEE, Maia worked in student engagement, attending to the needs of elementary, college, and law students in Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Los Angeles, respectively, with intention toward healing-centered literacy and greater access to education.
She holds a B.A. in Literature with a concentration in Poetry and Creative Writing, in which she wrote a chapbook of poems navigating play, grief, and the spaces between them. Her poetry has been published in literary magazines Chinquapin and Red Wheelbarrow.
