The CLEE Nerd Herd is composed of donors who pledge recurring support to the Center for Law, Energy & the Environment. As a benefit of membership, Nerd Herders get invitations to informal gatherings with CLEE staff (“CLEE Teas”) to discuss current events once or more a year. To join the Nerd Herd, visit CLEE’s donate webpage and make a recurring gift to CLEE of $10 or more. Pledge frequency can be monthly, quarterly or annual.
Herders who give $1,000 or more annually ($250 for recent graduates), also receive the benefits of membership in UC Berkeley’s Charter Hill Society.
Pledges provide a foundation for CLEE’s work as we grow to meet the need to achieve a just transition for our common planet. CLEE’s most important activities—e.g., student support, responding to urgent, time-sensitive issues that don’t fit with grant cycles, and communicating the implications of our work to the public—all require a certain baseline of capacity that can’t come from subject-restricted grants and contracts. In short, pledges provide a modicum of predictability so we can scale the impact of our work and further the vision of a cleaner, healthier, more equitable world.
