Placing Calls

Emergency

  • Dial 911

To place an On Campus Call

  • Dial the last 5 digits of the campus phone number

To place an Off Campus Call

  • Dial 9 first then the outside number (1+area code+phone number)

To dial internationally

  • Diall 9 + 011 + country code + City code + phone number

Transfer
To transfer a call to another number:

  1. Flash the switch hook.
  2. Dial the number where you want to transfer the caller.
  3. Announce call and hang up.

To return to caller:

  1. Flash the switch hook twice.

Conference
To add a third party to a call:

  1. Flash the switch hook.
  2. Dial the number of the party you wish to add.
  3. Flash the switch hook.
    (If there is no answer or the line is busy, flash the switch hook twice to return to original party.)

To drop the last party added:

  1. Flash the switch hook.

Call Forwarding
To redirect all calls to another extension:

  1.  Dial *12.
  2. Dial the number where calls are to be sent.
  3. Hang up.

To cancel call forwarding:

  1. Dial #12.

Send all Calls immediately to voicemail(Do Not Disturb)

  1. Dial *3.
  2. Hang up.

To cancel:

  1. Dial #3.

Call Wait (if activated)
To answer waiting call, press Flash key then dial *16

Transfer
To transfer a call to another number:

  1. With a call in progress, press the TRANSFER button.
  2. Dial extension.
  3. Announce call (optional).
  4. Hang up.

To return to original call:

  1. Press the call appearance button where call is holding.

Conference (Up to 3)
To make a conference call:

  1. With a call in progress, press the CONFERENCE button.
  2. Dial the number.
  3. When party answers, press the CONFERENCE button.

To drop the last party:

  1. Press the appropriate call appearance button.
  2. Press the DROP button.

Call Forward
To forward your phone to another extension:

  1. Scroll and select the “CFrwd” softkey.
  2. Dial extension where calls are to be sent.
  3. Wait for confirmation tone.
  4. Hang up.

To cancel:

  1.  Scroll and select the “CFrwd” softkey again.

Send all Calls immediately to voicemail (Do Not Disturb)
To direct incoming calls directly to voicemail:

  1. Scroll and select the “Send All Calls” softkey.

To cancel:

  1.   Scroll and select the “Send All Calls” softkey again.
