Our printer, Christensen, requires that a Print Order be submitted along with the files. The Publications Coordinator takes care sending this information to the printer.
The print order provides the specifications for a particular issue, such as:
Quantities to print
Where to send contract proofs
Mailing instructions
Author offprint order information and shipping addresses
Christensen will not begin any work on your pdf files until they have received the print order from the Publications Coordinator.
Therefore, it is imperative that you be in touch with the Coordinator throughout the production process, to ensure that everything that is required before the print order can be completed have been done.
In order to complete the print order, the Publications Coordinator must have the following:
Table of contents
All Author Copyright Agreements
All Offprint Order Forms
Any special info (ie. increased quantities, different address to which the proofs should be sent)
Often times, authors will send the above listed forms to the Coordinator instead of the editorial office. You should email the Coordinator for the status of the required forms.
When you’re close to finishing reviewing and editing the pdf files, you must inform the Coordinator, so that the print order will be ready when you plan on submitting files to Christensen.
