AREA MAP
The UC Berkeley standard campus map and the map below will help you find Berkeley Law and nearby parking lots.
PUBLIC PARKING
Street parking in the neighborhood surrounding the Law Building is controlled by parking restrictions (e.g., two hour limits). If you park in the City of Berkeley, please check carefully for posted parking restrictions. Most parking meters now take change and credit / debit cards. This map and list of public parking lots located near the Law Building will help you if street parking is unavailable. All lots require a fee for parking.
OBTAINING ON-CAMPUS PARKING FOR EVENTS
UC Berkeley Special Event Parking can provide reserved parking signs and attendants for on-campus events (if sufficient notice is given). Prepaid parking spaces or permits cost between $10 – $16 per permit, and a parking attendant is required for more than 30 vehicles. More details are here.
Parking in the Law Building Lot is extremely limited. It is recommended that you park your guests at the Underhill Structure, which is only three blocks away from Berkeley Law. You can obtain driving directions from this Google map of UC Berkeley parking lots and garages. Non-permit parking is not allowed in campus lots between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday, but paid public parking is available outside of these times.
You may also contact Event Parking by email or phone (510) 642-5401 for more information.
ACCESSIBILITY
There are two accessible entrances to Berkeley Law. The first is located at 2745 Bancroft Way (also known as the Simon Hall entrance), the closest entrance to the cross streets of Piedmont Ave. and Bancroft Way. The other accessible entrance is located near Kroeber Fountain, further down Bancroft Way. Enter the law school via the ramp and the entrance underneath a quote by Justice Benjamin N. Cardozo.
For more information on accessibility on the UC Berkeley campus, please see Campus Access Services.
EVENT SAFETY
All campus events must follow safety policies such as fire and food safety protocols. Event organizers are responsible for ensuring that vendors are aware of all regulations and permit requirements. For further information, please visit the Event Safety page of the UC Berkeley Office of Environment, Health, and Safety.
