As a first-year student at Berkeley Law, you can get your feet wet by signing up for the Halloum Negotiations Competition in the Spring. In this introductory competition, you will compete with a partner against other 1Ls as you negotiate a mock transaction. It is a great way to become involved with the Board of Advocates, as participants will be scouted for the competitive ADR & Negotiations Team. You also may tryout for the ADR & Negotiations Team at the beginning of your 1L year. Team members compete against other law schools in the areas of mediation and transactional negotiations.
