Mental Health Awareness & Wellness Week (MHAWW)

Every year, Student Academic Advising and Support Services (SAASS) hosts a Mental Health Awareness and Wellness Week. This is an opportunity for students to have fun, build community and take time to focus on their own self-care.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2024

DONUTS & RESOURCES

Steinhart Courtyard – 9:30-10:30am 

Join us for donuts and meet some of the Berkeley Law resources in person! Enjoy Rainbow Donuts in Steinhart Courtyard with representatives from Student Academic Advising and Support Services, Academic Skills Program, the law school psychologists, and Financial Aid. Hope to see you there!

COFFEE, TEA, & MINDFULNESS 

MoFo Room (Simon 298) – 9:00-10:00am

Join SAASS in the Morrison Foerster Room (298 Simon) for coffee, tea, and mindfulness activities! For Mental Health Awareness & Wellness Week, we will be holding our usual Mindful Monday session on Wednesday, and hold space for anyone in the law school community who is interested in the benefits that mindfulness can bring. Coffee and tea will be provided. Feel free to drop in!

MANAGING STRESS IN LAW SCHOOL: A CONVERSATION WITH PROFESSOR ARGUETA FUNES & DR. ZARUBA

Join Professor José Argueta Funes and Dr. Linda Zaruba on a conversation about avoiding burnout, tips on managing stress, and other helpful tools as you navigate the challenges of law school. Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsored by SAASS.

MINDFULNESS WITH PROFESSOR FERNHOLZ

Join Professor Bill Fernholz for a true break from mid-semester stress. This quick and simple introduction to mindfulness practice aims to give you a few tools for dealing with anxieties. Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsored by SAASS.
