Every year, Student Academic Advising and Support Services (SAASS) hosts a Mental Health Awareness and Wellness Week. This is an opportunity for students to have fun, build community and take time to focus on their own self-care.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2025

MINDFULNESS WITH PROFESSOR BILL FERNHOLZ & PROFESSOR EMILY BRUCE

Law Building Room 170 – 1:00-2:00pm

Join Professor Bill Fernholz & Professor Emily Bruce for a true break from mid-semester stress. This quick and simple introduction to mindfulness practice aims to give you a few tools for dealing with anxieties. Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsored by SAASS.

MANAGING STRESS IN LAW SCHOOL: A CONVERSATION WITH PROFESSOR ARGUETA FUNES & DR. ZARUBA

Join SAASS in Room 113 for coffee, tea, and mindfulness activities! For Mental Health Awareness & Wellness Week, we will be holding our usual Mindful Monday session on Wednesday, and hold space for anyone in the law school community who is interested in the benefits that mindfulness can bring. Coffee and tea will be provided. Feel free to drop in!
