You’re all invited to attend this year’s La Raza La Journal Symposium titled, “Unshackling Citizenship: The Politics of Immigration, Integration and the Racialization of Latinos.”
As the number of Latinos in California and across the nation increases, legislatures have responded with xenophobic laws that have led to the racialization of Latinos, documented and undocumented. The symposium will explore the legal forces that marginalize Latinos, but also the ways Latinos are creating paths to integration through policy advocacy, litigation, political organizing and building electoral power, particularly in California.
