The pinnacle of his career may have been reached at Berkeley Law as the founding Editor in Chief of Ecology Law Quarterly. From there, he had a two year apprenticeship in the litigation department of a San Francisco law firm, a five year stint as a Deputy Attorney General representing California environmental agencies, and 31 years as the Chief Counsel of the California Energy Commission.
