Lavender Law — Equal Justice Works Career Fair — and more!
Equal Justice Works is inviting all Bay Area law students to a free information session about the College Cost Reduction and Access Act (CCRAA), on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Golden Gate University School of Law (536 Mission Street, Room 2202, San Francisco). In September 2007, Congress passed the CCRAA, which places a ceiling on payments for borrowers with high educational loan obligations compared to their incomes and enables them to make affordable payments for 10 years while in public service, after which, the government will forgive the remaining obligation. The CCRAA applies to borrowers working in public service jobs in many fields, including, among others, government, public interest law services, or any other job at an 501(C)(3)organization. Join Heather Jarvis of Equal Justice Works to learn more.
