National Public Radio host Ed Gordon (News & Notes with Ed Gordon) interviewed constitutional law and civil rights scholar Professor Goodwin Liu on Thursday, December 8, about a case before the Court, which will consider whether an African-American businessman may sue Domino’s Pizza for racial discrimination. The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in Domino’s Pizza Inc., et al. v. McDonald, John on Thursday, December 6. Legal experts believe this case could ultimately affect how discrimination lawsuits involving contracts are handled.
With Dean Christopher Edley, Liu is co-director of a multi-year, multi-disciplinary project called “Rethinking Rodriguez: Education as a Fundamental Right” in Boalt’s newly launched Chief Justice Earl Warren Institute for Race, Ethnicity, and Diversity.
