It’s been a busy year in Berkeley Law’s clinical program. We rise to meet the demands of the moment, and across our 14-clinic program, our faculty, staff, and 300 students annually are providing direct legal services, litigating cutting-edge issues, and conducting policy-based research.
In the final weeks of September, California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law several bills spearheaded by Berkeley Law clinics that protect residents’ civil, economic, and environmental rights.
We continue to expand our clinical teaching faculty, which enables us to expand our services and increase student enrollment.
I assumed my new responsibilities as director of the Clinical Program over the summer and am thrilled to draw inspiration every day from what my colleagues and our students accomplish for our clients.
View our Annual Report to learn how clinical faculty and students are working to advance social justice.
I look forward to the next opportunity for us to exchange news and views in person. May that day soon come!
Best,
