LEAP Cooter-Rubinfeld Lecture Series
About the lecture series: Given by leading public intellectuals from across the social sciences, the Cooter-Rubinfeld Lectures honor the contributions of Professors Robert Cooter and Daniel Rubinfeld to UC Berkeley and to law and economics. Professor Cooter began his career as a public finance economist but later turned to law and economics, where his foundational contributions earned him the Presidency of the American Law and Economics Association, the Coase Medal, and membership in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Professor Rubinfeld, now emeritus, also began his career in public economics before turning to law and economics. In addition to his many academic contributions, Professor Rubinfeld was chief economist at the Department of Justice antitrust division during the Microsoft case and was President of the American Law and Economics Association.
