On March 1, 2018, the Korea Law Center welcomed Catharina Min, partner at Covington & Burling LLP and Founding Director of the Council of Korean Americans, to visit Berkeley Law and share her insights and career advice with Berkeley Law students. Ms. Min has been recognized for her leadership and support for diversity in the legal field. Among her many recognitions are the following: National Diversity Council named her one of the “Top 50 Multicultural Leaders in Technology,” Silicon Valley Business Journal named her a “Women of Influence 2015,” and The Recorder named her a “Top Woman in Technology Law.”
Ms. Min spoke to students about her first few years out of law school, her path to making partner at a law firm, and her unique experiences as an Asian-American female attorney. She also shared her thoughts on the importance of seeking out leadership opportunities, cultivating good relationships, and other practical ways that law school students and young professionals can prepare themselves to thrive in legal practice.
