Daniel Rubinfeld, the Robert L. Bridges Professor of Law and Professor of Economics, as well as director of Boalt Hall’s Program in Law and Economics, has been elected president of the American Law and Economics Association (ALEA) for 2005-06.
As the association’s incoming president, Rubin gave a speech at the ALEA’s annual meeting in May, “The Transition to Democracy in South Africa: A Constitutional Law and Economics Perspective.” Rubinfeld will host next year’s annual ALEA meeting in Berkeley.
