Parties in intellectual property disputes increasingly rely on actions at the U.S. International Trade Commission under Section 337 of the Tariff Act, 19 U.S.C. §1337, to more resolve disputes more quickly than through traditional court litigation, said panelists at a University of California Berkeley School of Law conference on May 18.
“The ITC opens up a whole new playing field for companies in the technology world,’’ said UC Berkeley law professor Peter Menell.
