Laura Farrow ’80, who served as the first woman editor-in-chief of the California Law Review as a Boalt student, died on May 3 at the age of 50. A native of Madison, Wis., Farrow was a law clerk to the late Judge Cecil F. Poole of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. She later became a partner in the San Francisco law firm of McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen. In 1991 she launched a mediation practice in Mill Valley, Calif., and taught mediation as an adjunct lecturer at Boalt Hall, as well as at Stanford Law School and the UC Davis School of Law.
Memorial services were held on May 8 at the Mill Valley Community Center, 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley.
