WHAT: “Good Bank, Bad Bank: Increasing Credit Liquidity, Stemming Foreclosures and Supporting the Economy,” a panel discussion at the University of California, Berkeley, by a group of distinguished university scholars analyzing the Obama administration’s new Financial Stability Plan. Experts in economics, business and public policy will examine how the plan, announced Feb. 10 by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, will impact taxpayers. Panelists will discuss capital infusions and how to value toxic assets so that taxpayer funds are not misspent.
The event at UC Berkeley is being co-sponsored by the School of Law’s Berkeley Center for Law and Business; the Center on Institutions and Governance at the Institute of Governmental Studies; and the Haas School of Business.
