Lauren Edelman ’86, a beloved Berkeley Law professor since 1996, passed away on Feb. 7. She held vital positions at the school, such as director of our Center for the Study of Law & Society and associate dean of Jurisprudence and Social Policy, and won many awards for her seminal scholarship on employment law issues. Elected to the esteemed American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Edelman was also a past Law & Society Association president.
