Alum Nicole Ozer ’03 recently won the Fearless Advocate Award from the American Constitution Society’s Bay Area chapter, and also received a California Senate Resolution commending her work to drive access, equity, and justice in the digital age. The technology and civil liberties director of the American Civil Liberties Union, Ozer has led the passage of California’s landmark Electronic Communications Privacy Act and Reader Privacy Act, designed groundbreaking local surveillance reform strategies now used across the nation, and developed the ACLU’s national online privacy campaign.
