Introduction to Financial Accounting:

This course covers financial statement basics, with the objective to learn to read, understand and analyze balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flows and notes to financial statements, along with how these statements give you insight into business performance. The course will cover key accounting concepts including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the accounting cycle, independent audits, and valuations. Additional topics will include learning how to read a capitalization table, pre money vs post money, ownership and understanding equity valuations.

Sue Biglieri is the current CFO at Kleiner Perkins, having spent the past 30 years as both the Controller and CFO at the firm. She has also spent time in industry and as an auditor at EY. She is a graduate of the Berkeley School of Business (Haas) and is a CPA (retired).
