“We Got Us Now” Panel Discussion with Children of Incarcerated Parents

Monday, November 6, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Monday, Nov. 6, 4:00-6:00pm in Berkeley Law’s Warren Room/295. Moderated by Criminal Law & Justice Center Executive Director Chesa Boudin and featuring Actionists, three guest speakers from We Got Us Now, the nation’s leading nonpartisan organization advocating for children and young adults with incarcerated parents. These young organizers are here to shine a light on this historically invisible population and discuss ways to support UC Berkeley students who have been directly impacted by the issue of parental incarceration. Over 10 million children in the United States have experienced parents behind bars in their lifetime. Discuss ways to keep families connected, to create fair sentencing policies, and to end the trauma of mass incarceration. Sponsored by the Criminal Law & Justice Center, Berkeley Law. RSVP appreciated but not required. More information at  We Got Us Now website.
