Event Navigation
California’s local governments play a pivotal role in shaping the State’s transition to a decarbonized economy. However, jurisdictions across the state have varying levels of success in implementing climate policies and programs. Join us on Zoom on November 28th to learn about the findings from a statewide survey of local government climate action conducted by CLEE, the Institute for Local Government(opens in a new tab), and Next 10(opens in a new tab). Report co-author and CLEE fellow Hanna Payne will discuss the results of the survey, as well as key takeaways and policy implications. Following the presentation of survey findings, Erica Manuel, CEO & Executive Director of the Institute for Local Government, will join moderator Louise Bedsworth in a discussion of local government climate action across California, including resource constraints, barriers, and opportunities to advance action across a range of policy areas.
