Federal Perspectives: U.S. Attorneys in Dialogue

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on their experiences and priorities as chief federal prosecutors.  As distinguished alumni and accomplished legal professionals, they will share insights on criminal justice reform, challenges in their respective districts, and the realm of federal prosecution.

Speakers:
Breon Peace
Breon Peace is the 48th U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to his appointment, he was the first ever African American man elected partner at Cleary where he successfully argued criminal appeals before the United Court of Appeals forthe Second Circuit, and maintained an active pro bono practice vindicating the rights of clients in criminal, immigration, human trafficking and civil rights cases. He received his B.A. from Cal.

Ismail J. Ramsey
Ismail J. Ramsey is the 53rd U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California, and a veteran of the US Air Force. Prior to his appointment, he was the founding partner of Ramsey & Ehrlich LLP in Berkeley, California. He holds an MBAfrom the Haas School of Business and taught a White Collar Crime seminar for six years at Berkeley Law.

Lunch will be provided starting at 12:45 PM with RSVP.
