California & Clean Trucks: Challenges & Solutions to Deployment

Join the UC Berkeley Center for Law, Energy, & the Environment (CLEE) at the UC Center Sacramento for a moderated discussion on the regulations and deployment of zero-emission heavy duty vehicles. Heavy duty vehicles are a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions and a major source of toxic air pollution, which disproportionately impacts disadvantaged communities. California has set nation-leading standards to establish manufacturers’ sales, reporting requirements, and fleet obligations for zero emission heavy duty vehicles, as well as collaborating with global partners to accelerate the adoption of these vehicles. This talk will discuss the implementation challenges California faces and ways to overcome them.
