Please join the Asian American Law Journal for our 2024 Spring Symposium, Asian Americans and Affirmative Action: Complicating the “Asian Penalty” Argument, on Wednesday, March 13 from 10 am-12:45 pm in Booth Auditorium (with a lunch reception to follow). In both the years leading up to and in the wake of Students for Fair Admission v. Harvard, the narrative collapsing Asian and white American positionalities and perspectives in discussions about affirmative action has become a dominant one. This year’s symposium intends to give our diverse community a platform to tell our own stories and give nuance to the conversation surrounding our community and affirmative action in the face of the many being told about us.

RSVP here. We hope to see you there!

This event is co-sponsored by the Berkeley Judicial Institute and the Center for Race & Justice.
