This Report serves as an introduction to the Copyright Reform Act, a project created on behalf of
Public Knowledge as a client of the Stanford Cyberlaw Clinic and the Samuelson Law,
Technology & Public Policy Clinic at UC Berkeley.
Public Knowledge is a Washington, D.C., based public interest organization that works to protect
the rights of citizens and consumers to communicate and innovate in the digital age. Ensuring
these rights requires a copyright law that does not unduly restrain everyday communications or
new sources of creativity, and one that can account for current and future changes in technology.
