This course will examine legal issues encountered uniquely and frequently in the life science industry. Particular attention will be given to the legal and policy issues arising in connection with company formation, patents, and technology partnering transactions involving biotechnology and related companies. In lieu of a final exam, students will prepare a final paper and presentation on a class related topic of their choice, directed to the generation of materials that would be used to form a life sciences enterprise.
