Harry Scheiber and co-author Jane Scheiber won a 2017 Choice Outstanding Academic Title Award for Bayonets in Paradise: Martial Law in Hawai’i during World War II. Called “monumental in substance and importance” by one reviewer, the book was honored by the Association of College & Research Libraries.
