Students who take the Samuelson Clinic for the first time are required to enroll in this two-credit companion seminar. The seminar is designed to help you reflect on the practice of law, the nature of public interest law, and, more specifically, on your experience practicing technology law in the public interest. Some of our primary goals in the seminar are to help you to learn how to learn from your clinical experience, and to think through how to apply the rules of professional responsibility in practice. Consequently, we place a high value on your ability to be reflective and self-critical.

The seminar will include readings (both theoretical and skills-based) and discussions of the readings, presentations and workshops by clinic staff and guest speakers, case rounds (short presentations of student projects), workshops of student projects (longer presentations requiring oral and written feedback from students), and other exercises designed to expose you to the practice of technology law in the public interest.

Exam Notes: (None) Class requires a series of papers, assignments, or presentations throughout the semester
